Thermal & hot-tank cleaning
All engines are cleaned and degreased using one of our two cleaning systems.
The process
Thermal & hot-tank cleaning
Engine rebuilding involves components that can carry oil, coolant, grease and other contaminants, making responsible shop practices essential. PDM is committed to operating in a manner that protects the environment and complies with applicable environmental requirements.
Our cleaning and degreasing systems are closed-loop and self-contained, helping reduce waste disposal needs and minimise the potential for environmental contamination.
All parts brought to PDM for cleaning must be drained of all fluids — oil and anti-freeze — or a hazardous materials charge will be assessed.
Stage 01 — teardown & cleaning
- 01Teardown & cleaning
Complete disassembly, thermal and hot-tank cleaning, and inspection before any metal is cut.
- 02Precision machining
Boring, honing, grinding and align boring — every cut indexed to a true relationship.
- 03Final assembly
Careful assembly in a dedicated clean room, isolated from the rest of the operation.
