Cummins is the make PDM sees across the widest range of equipment — the same engine family turns up in a semi, a combine and a standby generator, and each arrives with a different service history and a different reason for being on the bench.

Whatever it came out of, the work is decided by measurement: bore and deck condition, main bearing saddle trueness, journal runout and taper. Blocks are bored and decked on the same index so the deck-to-cylinder-to-main relationship is true when it goes back.
